I got to spend the other day with Ryan, Candi and their three adorable girls for a fall portrait session in St. Albert. We shot in a beautiful park up in Erin Ridge and were lucky enough to just beat the rainfall we got that evening. Even after a busy day we still managed to get more than enough smiles out of everyone and I couldn’t be happier with the final images we made!

September and October are two absolutely perfect months in Alberta for portraits and this year I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a really close friend of mine and her family! I’ve known Leslie quite a while now and she is an amazing person and an even better mom so you can bet I jumped on the opportunity to do her family portrait! We were lucky to get a nice sunny day here in St. Albert , we certainly took advantage of that! What a great looking family!

Every year at NAIT we have an organized social gathering meant to familiarize us with our peers as well as to allow us to get out for a day shooting, in years past there have been river valley photo walks and Edmonton Valley Zoo trips. While outings like that are generally fun and somewhat useful this year I had a goal to take it up a notch. My mission was to set up a day that allowed both the newest of photography students and the city’s best pros to interact over a day of good conversation and even better imagery, it turned out better than I could have imagined! A huge thank you to my good friend Amanda from Lightside Photography, the amazing Blake Loates of Blake Loates Photography, Sharon Litchfield¬†who is another fantastic photographer here in the city and of course Kristyn Harder, one of Calgary’s premier wedding and portrait shooters! Along with the Amazing pros we had come in we also had some pretty amazing models! Thank you again to everyone who came out, here are some of the photos I took!

Hey Everyone!

Meet Shannon and Andrew, they are one of my amazing couples getting married in 2014! For their E-Session we traveled to an absolutely perfect farm owned by a long time family friend of theirs, aside from the harvest dust we had a perfect evening to shoot in front of a beautiful sunset. The photos turned out great, can’t wait to photograph their special day next year!

Congrats you two!

An ongoing project I’ve had at NAIT the past week or so has been to photograph various Student Services staff performing their respective jobs for the upcoming Student Services Celebration next week as part of a presentation. It’s always fun to meet the hardworking staff that work tirelessly day in and day out to make students lives a million times easier. I’m about halfway through the areas I’m photographing and I thought it would be a good time to share what I’ve created this far.

Enjoy!
